Daycare, from 3:45pm to 6:00pm on the preschool side is the perfect time to offer open ended material to children and watch them explore, invent and construct.

Bridges and packs

In this session with blocs children explore what is possible. We stand to watch, listen and support their inventions as they showcase the flexibility of their thinking.

Collaborative Work

Children's play help them acquire social skills and develop relationships.

Garage Structure

"Watching children at work with open materials, we can understand how humans, with time, opportunity, purpose, and passion came to invent the wheel, build a community, compose a symphony, and fly to the moon."(Deb Curtis and Margie Carter, The Art of Awareness, 2000.)

Write to give to read:

Noticing that students usually write to be read only by their teacher, or at best, to be listenned by the rest of the class, our teachers have decided to elaborate a project called "Write to give".

The concept is very simple, extend children's writings to outside of the classroom notebook ... share with the rest of our school community, parents, students, teachers, staff ...

Once per month we will put outside the tray carrying all our students' writings, so that each of us can read about everyone's work!
