Fundraising is the cherry on
the cake. When we asked our teachers last year what was most needed on campus to contribute to the development of our students, sports equipment was brought up as a top
priority. The May 2011 fundraising campaign and the contribution of the PA allowed the purchase of magnificent - brand new material! This equipment is the cherry on the cake in the
sense that it allows our teachers to cover the curriculum in optimal conditions!
Although this was a rainy day on December 12th, the 4th grade class enjoyed a guided visit to the California Institut of Technology. French experts, working at the Caltech, explained their work at the center of seismology, as well as their studies and research in geology.
This was a wonderful adventure that our students followed involving hands on experiment explaining the creation of faults at the surface of the earth, the origin of different types of rocks, the concept of wave, and which ended with a visit at the media center.
A big thank you to Pierrick Bourg, and his connections at the Caltech!
GET READY TO SHAKEOUT! On Thursday, October 20th at 10:20 a.m our students, with millions of people in California, participated in the 2011 Great California ShakeOut earthquake drill!
